Over spring break, I found myself at the first Love Pulse Music event, Cupcakes & Briefcases hosted by Desmond Women's Week at Loyola Marymount University. The intimate gathering allowed young women from various academic backgrounds with diverse interests to come together. Panelists Erica Grayson and Rachel Noelle were both were insightful and inspiring. In their personal stories, each recognized opportunities and established positions for themselves in music. Lessons they shared were perfect remedies to insecurity and uncertainty about working in any male-dominated industry. The two hour long event was full of honest, practical advice, along with anecdotes that left us wondering which major label executive needs to know what is going on with "the Internet," referring to digital music sales.  These powerhouse women were brilliant representations of the strong, enduring entrepreneurs who hold top positions in the music industry. The style and cool these two ladies brought with them were so infectious. Grateful for the amazing opportunity to connect with Grayson and Noelle, I'm already looking up the next Love Pulse Music event.

When I went to the Facebook page to see all the event pictures, I knew immediately that I'm a Love Pulse girl.  "If nothing can stop you from reaching your goal and your passion causes you to forge your own path, then you are a Love Pulse girl." Check it out on Facebook or Twitter!
