30 Days of Gratitude...

Day 10:
I'm grateful for old Alicia Keys throwback tracks getting me through my Sunday evening. I might just be ready to conquer this week... oooohhhhh but you don't know my name

Day 9:
I'm grateful for Isotoner gloves! Lord knows I don't have meat on my finger bones, and this Maryland autumn is starting to feel like Las Vegas winter... I wasn't ready smh

Day 8:
I'm grateful for people who never cease to make me laugh. Who needs to do crunches when you have a hilarious crew!?

Day 7:
I'm grateful for community.  can't do it on our own.

30 Days of Gratitude...

Day 3:
I'm grateful for roommates that I can laugh with, dream with, plan with, sing with, watch Pitch Perfect with, go to church with, work with, shop with, and walk around DC with. Those are the best kind.

Day 2:
I'm grateful for free food... Unexpected, delicious, and abundant free food. YUM!

Saturday

Dear Anjelica Fernandez,

After distracting myself and keeping busy by putting all my energy into pulling the project together and I just settled on the subject matter, my heart almost couldn't bear it. I have been thinking about you so much this month, it's almost like you're here. I drive by places we frequented as kids, I hear a song we made up our own words to, and I hear exactly how your voice would say something and the exact facial expression. Your laugh. Your smile. It's so real and all these images come back, and that's how I will remember you. You are the beautiful, joyful person who loved so hard and unconditionally. That's who I knew you as. This sadness is not one I can just sleep away, so I look forward to meeting in all the old familiar places. Your spirit will ride with me, it will guide me, and remain. You have impacted my life in ways that I'll never know. I loved you so much in the little time you were here, and everyone who knew you did, too. Rest peacefully, Anjelica. "Everybody loves you!" :)
